Lots of people. I know quite a few 'dyed in the wool' democrats that voted for Hillary that have been very frank about the fact that they thought Trump would run the country, but in their view is doing a great job for America.

The problem is that you live in an echo chamber, so you dont know what people REALLY feel. And the sad fact is that you would never want to venture out and talk to REAL Americans. Afterall you think they're all hateful homophobic, racist, sexist, transphobic, deplorables.

You never hear what REAL American think, you only believe what your echo chamber tells you to think. And your echo chamber doesn't want you talking to anyone outside of it... because you'd realize that most everyday Americans are good people.

I didn't vote for Trump or Johnson, but I support him because of the economic growth that he's brought about, and his stance on international politics.

REAL Americans. Nice code wording there. LOL. So I should throw a YETI and Salt Life Sticker on the back of my Silverado, grow a goatee, throw on some Oakleys and wear a Harley Davidson Tee shirt and go out there and blend in, I suppose? Would that make me a REAL American?

How about the Lower Class factory worker who drives a 20+ year old car because they can't afford anything newer. How about the inner city black mother who after voting for Democrats everytime finds herself living in a worse situation than she does under republicans. People that aren't elitest liberal socialites and elites.

Voting disclosure is illegal in my state. I'm not going to answer that question publicly on the internet.

No, no one outside of Trump's base has any issues or qualms with the investigation at this point.

There's no moral conflict here.

That's because there are apparently no morals on the left.

It's a coup attempt.

Unfortunately, I think you jumped to the "No True Scotsman" fallacy.

That's entirely possible, however pollsters outside voting stations do not ask "Who did you vote for?" They ask super general questions like, "Did you vote for more Democrats or Republicans?", "What party are you registered with?", "Did you vote for or against your party?". I have never in my life been asked directly by any individual or organization (aside from friends in private company), and been expected to identify the individual who I voted for. Even when news agencies have been following local elections and they dont even ask the candidates who they voted for. It's an obvious question, and a softball one at that, but I see it get asked all the time of other politicians in other races around the country. Again they ask general questions like, "Do you think your party has a strong chance of winning?" etc.

The fact that they ask so many general questions, instead of outright asking "Who did you vote for?"; leads me to believe that I haven't misinterpreted it.
I know when I've been at other voting stations for friends in other states, the pollsters outside asked them directly who they voted for. Maryland has some wonky laws about a bunch of things. I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't put it in place just to protect their ass from retribution from DC if they step out of line.

That fallacy was not my intention... I was simply trying to point out that one cannot take their local echo-chamber and use that to infer that's what the rest of the country feels. Expecting someone to speak to the wider society before passing views on what that wider society believes is not the 'No True Scotsman' Fallacy.

Expecting someone to take 100% of the population into account instead of 10% when making judgments on the viewpoint of 100% of the population is not a fallacy.

My wording may have been poor, but I think most people here completely understood what I was saying. No largely self-isolated subculture is going to be representative of the wider culture.

Your post read as you thought it was against the law for you to tell anyone who you voted for. Not what you intended so, apologies.
