Another case of 1st Amendment abridgment
So, this came across my FB feed. I read it. Yes, it is a solicitation from the Alliance Defending Freedom for donations for a legal battle. Beyond that, the facts of this case are a bit disturbing. Mostly because it seems a FB presence was the catalyst for the heinous actions on the part of the Gov. IOW, in today's world, but 1990s technology (i.e. no internet to speak of), this would never have happened.
Quote:For seven years, Country Mill Farms set up a booth at the East Lansing Farmer’s Market to sell their produce, offering the only stand with organic apples. The market was a significant and growing part of Country Mill Farms’ business.
But then, without warning, Country Mill was asked to leave the market.
The reason? They communicated their religious viewpoint on marriage on their Facebook page — a belief that is apparently unwelcome in East Lansing.
More here.

There IS that aspect to the story. But I find it more interesting that the "evidence" was Bookface material. I could see it if there was a strict "no political or religious speech zone" thing on the grounds themselves, but this was on their faceb**k page. It makes you think, now I have to consider everything I do or say online - that it could impact literally every aspect of your life... and it shouldn't.
