Totally agree.

I am curious as what Kentucky has to over that Memphis can't? This year all eyes will be on Memphis and Penny. I would think he would get more media coverage here (especially this year) than he would at Kentucky.

well, for one, Cal's track record of winning and putting players in the NBA vs. a first year head coach is something. Wiseman is a kid that could get to the NBA from anywhere, but more than likely that's going to be the biggest obstacle we have to overcome.

He will pick his own school.
Won't live a dream through him but with him.
Wants him to be a kid.
Cal on him since 9th grade.
Photoshop of penny on her table she thought was hilarious.
They didn't move to Memphis because of penny rather her daughter who's a student.
Agreed to be on their show more often going forward.

How wise.

RE: Wisemans mom on 92.9
I have to admit, Martin had a good vibe with her.
Says she tells James to enjoy teenage years. Do your work, but enjoy life. Plenty of time for business soon enough.
James had a brother that died at a young age. So the family recognizes the value of living the moment.
The Penny photoshop was hilarious. Replaced a pic of her mom - not Jesus. Glad to see Penny well-dressed.
She obviously likes Penny. He's family. But they have a strong relationship with Cal (4 years now).
Ultimately it will be James' decision. She will not choose for him.

We have to overcome a smoke screen... because that's what the whole Cal getting players to the NBA is

99% of those kids would have declared straight from high school and probably would have been drafted higher than going a year at UK.

100%. Cal and Kentucky have made him a priority for a LONG time. If we don't get him, it won't be the end of the world (far from it). It is fun that at least we have a shot as I think we all know it is either Kentucky or Memphis, and it is nice to be able to go head-to-head with a blue-blood.

Wiseman will get to the NBA whether he goes to Kentucky or Memphis. That line may work on a questionable talent, but not on Wiseman. It's ridiculous to think otherwise. Cal and Penny will have have to sell him on something else.

Exactly. “Putting players in the NBA.” Lol. How in the world does Cal develop those top 10 recruits? Truly amazing.

Careful - you will rile the Cal fans here. They will remind you of the miracles he works. Gets the kids from August to March. In those 8 months, and with restrictions on practice time and obligations to school, he turns them from top 25 guys into NBA draft picks.

There’s no reason to have anything bad to say about the young man if he chose to go elsewhere, however I’m not the least bit worried. I believe he will be a Tiger. Penny will be tough to say no to. They love Penny.

I believe he will be a tiger. Alot of it will depend on how penny's first time looks on the floor. I don't think he will reclassify. If next years team goes to the tourny and all this is half as much fun as we think it will be, no way he goes to Lexington. Play for Kentucky and be another bright spot on a huge wall of NBA talent, stay at memphis and become a legend.

Who are they? I've been here a while and don't recall anybody saying that in the last 5+ years.

Are you still sour about Tubby?

Wha? If you think I'm sour about Tubby, you're not keeping up. And if that's the case, no wonder you've missed other things from Cal fans.

As for who they are, I'm not sure. I haven't cared enough to log them. I have an idea who a few are, and I suspect you do to.

There was a debate I got into with someone here about this very topic, though. It was during the Skal era.
