He’s been getting good feedback from NBA scouts. May be second round/G-League type player. He’s just scratching the surface of his talent. He may be in the NBA in 2-3 more years.

Why SIGN with an agent? You can always do that later.Everyone(undergrads) get tryouts/evaluations and then have the choice to return to school or sign.

He’s moving to California to work out there ahead of the draft. His evaluation obviously was better than most expected.

Why? yea I agree. Why not wait until you are drafted and then find an agent. What are the benefits before you have to negotiate anything?

Is it a lot easier to GET drafted with an agent? How many players without agents ever get drafted? Asking out of genuine curiosity -- my guess is maybe that's the reason?

You have to withdraw from the draft 10 days prior, agent or not, so getting an agent is the right thing to do if you are going into the draft.

I said on here before that Penava has a much better game for the NBA than Elmore. He has gotten enough positive feedback to,go,through with the draft. That means, at a minimum, he's been told that a team (teams) would be committed into,putting the time in to develop him. He's a 6'9" guy that can handle the ball, hit the outside shot, and block shots. He has a good upside.

Big loss for Marshall and for the league. But I suppose if you are losing players to an early draft then that is a nice problem to have.

The league may very take a step back next season but I still expect Marshall and WKU to be very strong, I don't think MTSU, UAB or ODU will fall off the Earth.

And I could see the west taking up some of that slack as well. UTSA had a young team this year so they could get into that first round bye picture couldn't they? North Texas as well.
