UVA has only had two season that they’ve won more games than last year in the last 12 seasons. Bronco is not even remotely close to the hot seat. Assuming UVA has 5+ wins this year he might get an extension.

Ha ha ha! LOL! (But, sadly, so true).

Lol it is sad but that’s the state of UVA football. Honestly if he gets to another bowl game I’d be impressed. The schedule isn’t hard but definitely not the easiest in the ACC. I think overall he has done well. The bowl game was embarrassing though.

I think people are severely underestimating Bronco's situation.

He was brought in under the previous regime and UVA just hired a new AD. And I get the feeling that Carla Williams isn't going to mess around with football mediocrity for long, since she's coming in after 14 years at Georgia. She's seen first-hand how important football is to an overall athletic department.

I get the impression that the apathy surrounding UVA's football program just isn't going to fly with her in charge. I've said it previously, but I don't think Bronco's recruiting is going to get it done either. He's recruiting at a very pedestrian level, and it doesn't seem like many of the 3* or 4* guys in VA are giving them the time of day.

If he doesn't match last season's win total and get to a bowl game, I think there's a real shot he gets canned at the end of the year.

Bronco is doing a good job at UVA considering the situation he inherited. I don't get why people think he will be fired when he has been trending up with each passing season. Now if he completely bombs this upcoming season that's a different story; however I can see UVA being a team hovering around the .500 mark and continuing to make progress.

If they go 2-10 and lose to Liberty then maybe. I don’t think either of those are likely so I’m going to go with he will be fine. If he does better than last year, 7-5 or better, he will get an extension you can bank on that. I do agree his recruiting needs to get better, if he wants to get better than an 8-4 record, but UVA is a difficult sell.

Yeah..I think Bronco saved his butt with 2017 results. He has a minimum of two years of mediocre seasons going forward to feel the heat.

In related news, I heard Roy Williams is #1 on the basketball hot seat, as he led a program that gave out fake diplomas for several decades. It would be part of the ACC encouraging members schools to clean up renegade programs.

Was Condi Rice referring to this matter at her press conference today?
