RE: South Dakota St drops M&W Tennis
I'm not surprised to see them downsizing a little. Even if the Dakotas and xDSUs have a lot of resources for Summit programs, they're still Summit programs, and 21 sports is just too many to sponsor. So many of these non-revenue sports, Summit teams are hopeless when it comes to competing at, too.

For a while, I sneered at the notion of the Summit being full of schools not ready for D1 athletics but trying anyway, but this news makes me start to wonder. Eventually the conference is going to have to find a series of sports to have its members rally around that aren't basketball. The only semi-stable sport apart from basketball is golf.

Oh, and since we're doing location counts, here's UNO's, both men's and women's combined.

Nebraska - 2
Missouri - 1
Texas - 1
Minnesota - 3
Wisconsin - 1
Illinois - 2
Oklahoma - 1

Romania - 1
Ivory Coast - 1
Serbia - 1
Hong Kong - 1
