I miss Angel Food ice cream
I consider myself an ice cream connoisseur and I so miss Angel Food ice cream. Their french vanilla and chocolate chip ice cream were the best.

Baskin Robbins is my goto ice cream. Hot fudge sundae with chocolate chip and rocky road ice cream.

Anyone have any recommendations?

Go to Baskin Robbins. The local stores are owned by the same people that owned Agel Food Ice Cream. Their rocky road is the beat.

I’ve loved their Cherries Jubilee for a long time. I had CJ at a BR in a different market and I was so disappointed. I wanna know what the Klinke’s are doing differently that makes it taste so much better.

La Michoacana. Now I gotta go get some. And Jerry's Sno-Cones as well. Each good for 5 to 7 added pounds per year. 04-cheers

Klinke Brothers OEM manufactures Baskin Robbins Ice Cream for an estimated third of the USA.

If you look in your Frozen Dessert section of your local Grocery Store Ice Cream section you'll see why they ceased competing in that marketplace.

Too much competition so their piece of the local segment was too small while they had guaranteed business from Baskin Robbins.

The Klinke Bros. are great guys from a great family and Tiger BB Season Ticket Holders.

The French Vanilla had more Egg Yolks than its competition thus the color of the ice cream had a yellowish tinge to it. That improved the depth of taste & texture.

They sold the right to the Angel Food name to Yarnell's for a period of time. Yarnell's didn't recognize the market trend like the Klinke's did until it was too late and went bankrupt.

RE: I miss Angel Food ice cream
You know it was a couple of years ago while driving on I-240 between Airways and Lamar I realized the huge bucket of Angel Food at the factory on the interstate was gone. It’s still an ice cream factory and the huge bucket is still there but I honestly can’t think of what brand is being advertised.
