I wonder what he basis his ranking of Herring on. We have never seen him play a college game nor do we even know if he will be the starter

Quote:12. Reid Herring, East Carolina

Gardner Minshew left East Carolina as a graduate transfer to Washington State, leaving Herring and true freshman Holton Ahlers to compete for the starting job. Herring played in two games last fall and connected on his only pass for 20 yards and a touchdown versus Cincinnati. Ahlers was considered as the No. 17 dual-threat quarterback by the 247Sports Composite in the 2018 signing class.

Because of the 3 schools breaking in new QB's this year, we have the most questions, and the weakest offense. No doubt if Herring played more last year's weekly blow-outs he would be higher on the list, however he didn't and has only attempted one pass as a college QB.

I'd move King up to at least 3rd and maybe 2nd. I believe he'll be a game changer for Houston 04-cheers

Pretty awful for the state of our qbs if the #2 qb in our league throws 1-4 passes per game.

Not really, just a qb with a different skill set geared towards a different type of offense. No big deal07-coffee3

King should absolutely be higher. As for ECU whoever the QB is won't put up worst in the league numbers, but the results could be worst in the league.

Yup.

King will be dangerous too. Glad we didn't face him last year.

I expect those two to do the most damage next year. Navy wont be fun either.

Anybody rating David Moore anywhere is (a) throwing darts blind, and (b)dismissing the fact that its an even money chance he isnt our QB next season.

this is me too

both took over for their teams when people had stopped paying attention to houston and temple. i dont think many are familiar with either...but both played great to finish out the season, most just arent aware

milton then everyone else.

I like King, Nutile, and Perry as well. Rest are complete unkowns or wildly inconsistent (hayden moore)

I think Malcolm Perry will be the real deal in the Navy offense. But I would not have argued at all had he been behind King, Hicks, Nutile.

As far as post #5 here, Keenan Reynolds averaged single-digit passes per game in this conference and finished fifth in the Heisman voting, so...

Well, SMU always makes Navy QBs look like Heisman candidates.

I think ECU will utilize 2 QB's. I usually hate that setup, but with how many eggs we have in the Holton Ahlers basket, I don't see him sitting and wasting a year.

And quite frankly, we don't have the depth to redshirt him.

Our season completely changed when Nutile was inserted as the starting QB. I have no idea why the hell they thought Marchi was better than him.
