Long Beach St last won that title in 27 years. Men’s volleyball is not exclusively owned by the west coast anymore, as Ohio St has won the last two years and Loyola of Chicago has won one too.

It was a fantastic final. Long Beach was able to force a 5th set after being down most of the 4th. And given what happened at the beach volleyball final the next day, it kept UCLA from reclaiming the outright lead in NCAA team titles. Thanks, Long Beach!
