I'm going to assume to do this Aresco knows he is going to get a significant raise for the rest of the schools. If that doesn't materialize he should be fired.

If pony would just give BC#1 some extra shifts he could finish paying restitution and we could slap some whitewash up on it. Be sitting pretty come September.

This. If Aresco doesn't deliver he better be gone. He's made a p5 commish salary for 6 years while the league is making G5 peanuts.

RE: AAC, Navy, and CBSSN announce...
Question 1:

The "first choice" game that goes into the conference inventory along with ND:

Can that be the Air Force @ Navy game?

Question 2:

Will the ND game count as the "first choice" game in those years, or will the conference essentially get 2 games in those years?

Many thanks.

Any commentary on the growing CFP revenue gap between the AAC and the G4, EDLUVAR ?

I saw EDLUVAR on line, and he WAS reading the CFP revenue thread...but not comment. Probably had to run back to whatever the mwc has for a message board to get his talking points straight.

I’m just fine with what BSU is making. After all the bravado of navy rolling into the AAC contract it appears that’s not the case. Chuck really looks great after all his comments on BSU and special deals. Good luck this year. BSU is getting early season hype as usual but an earl trip to oky light will be a big test.

So, let me get this right. If NBC shows up and only wants western division games for it's contract but the east teams still get an equal share of the money the west division got a sweetheart deal?

I was really going more for the fatal flaws in the Boise/mwc/G4 argument that "We're all the same" and after that ""Well, maybe AAC was better this year, but it's all cyclical"

LOL... Don't think I ever said this anywhere but cool question

The Notre Dame deal with the ACC is almost identical to Navy n AAC only difference if I'm not mistaken Notre Dame owns their football revenue while their basketball revenue is shared with their half affiliated conference.

My point is some programs hold a different standard b/c of their outstanding rich sexy history something boise state for example just doesn't come close to matching.

Navy's not keeping the money. All monies are flowing into the conference pot except for the Army-Navy game cash. All the AAC did was grant Navy their home game rights to sell at a premium to CBS thus insuring that their tradition of Saturday only games is protected from whomever acquires our future rights to the AAC plus we got to add a bi-annual Notre Dame game to use as a way to guarantee a better contract 07-coffee3

You understand that is exactly what BSU has with the MWC that navy’s smart ad felt the need to point out? I think it’s good for navy that they are able to secure their games on the station they want. Will be interesting to see how much they make.

To be fair, the Navy AD has never said anything derogatory abut the deal Boise got from the MW. His comments were made about the deal Boise wanted from the AAC--which I believe was probably just---"you'll need to pay us more than everyone else" (which was on top of the AAC already offsetting some of the Boise's travel subsidy costs in the Big West). The reality is the Boise deal in the MW has caused (and is still causing) friction among members and has been reworked multiple times due to that friction. To the best of my knowledge--the Navy deal hasn't been an issue for the AAC membership. 04-cheers
