Yeah, Rice could get as high as the five seed in the unlikely scenario that they swept FIU and UTSA was also swept.
Honestly, I want Rice to have the 6 or 7 seed if in the tournament. Avoid USM for as long as possible.
FAU always chokes down the stretch it seems like and we've had good luck against LT in the conference tourney recently.

I'm not clamoring for LT, who easily swept us earlier this year, and has arguably the best pitching staff in the conference. However, no question Rice wants FAU after their classless stall tactics in the "walk off" tie game a couple weeks back, when we had runners on 1B and 2B, no outs when FAU stormed onto the field.

WKU baseball with another last season collapse.....This coach we have is a joke, should have kept the guy prior to him if this is going to be the results year in year out.....I read our beat writer a couple of weeks ago article saying this might be the year we finally break through for first time and make CUSA tournament....Knew in back of mind we would collapse and not make tournament.........Crazy because this guy we hired was supposed to be a "pitching guru", we have had not had a good pitching staff since Finwood was here almost 10 years ago....

LT was just better than us for a majority of the weekend in every phase of the game.

I am hoping for one side of the bracket to be LT, FAU, Rice and xxxx. I realize USM could easily lose game 1 like last year but I like our chances of making the CG with those 3 on the other side.

Looks like the Niners need to win 1 over UTSA this weekend to get that 4 seed. Then we will likely turn around and play UTSA in the 4-5 game on Wednesday. It will be interesting what we do as far as setting up our pitching for Biloxi.

hint.....don't sweep them this week as that will cause them to beat you in game 1 in Biloxi (as we learned last year)

Agreed.
We got our asses kicked for the last three innings Friday night and start-to-finish on Sunday.
I would say LT exposed our bullpen but they pretty much just reopened an old wound that had started to become covered by a month of facing bad lineups. Part of me feels like we should have won that series, losing because Sandlin was left in too long on Friday. But given what you did to our bullpen all weekend, it might not have mattered...
LT is as good of a team as we are...if not close. They just fell asleep at the wheel too many times against teams they should beat.
