Not sure what your screen looks like, but click on "new" at top of screen. Should show "email message" and click on that.

if you are in your inbox, you should be able to hit the "ctrl" key and the letter "n" key at the same time, it should open a new email for you to write.

if you are in a different window, like your calendar, try hitting "ctrl" and "shift" and "n" at the same time.

What are the chances herm could find this thread in Siberia? He'd have come back to check for answers only to find the thread gone. Conspiracy theories in the herm household would've been off the charts and I don't want that on my conscience.
