Chicken Fight Escalates To Gunfire
POSTED: 9:46 am EDT September 29, 2004
UPDATED: 10:14 am EDT September 29, 2004
BLUEWELL, W.Va. -- Cooking chicken turned into a West Virginia family feud.
Police in Bluewell report a gun battle broke out after a father and a son argued over how to best cook skinless chicken. Jackie Lee Shrader, 49, and his 24-year-old son, Harley Lee Shrader, both face charges.
Detective Sgt. A.D. Beasley of the Mercer County Sheriff's Department says what started as a physical confrontation escalated into a gunfight. He says each man fired a .22-caliber handgun at the other.

The younger man was struck in the head by a bullet, but was treated and released from a local hospital. The father in the chicken fight wasn't hurt.

Is some MAC FAN upset that we now have the inside track on winning the MAC EAST.

Yep I fully understand now why Cryst and the rest of the MAC moved the MAC Champ game to Ford field. After beating Miami, we have the edge on the East and have a chance to win the MAC again. Even though we got beat by MIAMI 45-6 last year, MIAMI didn't have 5 key D- players they did last season and their vet. QB B. Roethlisberger. MIAMI hasn't won in Huntington since the Fairlield stadium days in 1979. In my opinion the MAC Title was moved because the Miami - Marshall game was being played in Huntington. If in Oxford I think they leave the chips where they lay. "Do I think they continue the MAC Title Game in Ford Field." They will for one year so it doesn't see as if they done this just because of a Move. But they will opt out on year 3 of their contract and move it back to the DIV winner every other year.

I don't know about that one Mr. MAC Sock Puppet *******.

We are doing just fine without your hateful rants and despicable comments.

Head on back to the MACster boards where you belong. I think I read a thread over there about some free ticket giveaways you may be interested in, since nobody gives a $hit about your lousy league.

May your days in Div IAA be long and futile.
