RE: where is the outrage?
The article mentioned that the CBS Digital contract ends after 2018-2019, so just one more season. They'll consider ESPN+ and Stadium as future options too. I say go with ESPN+ out of the bunch.

RE: where is the outrage?
If you look CAA teams schedules from last year, you see some games Sept listed as televised by CSN stations (but nothing after Sept) and some games listed as televised by NBC Sports stations Oct-Nov, but nothing in Sept.
Last Oct the Comcast Sports Networks & The Comcast Networks were rebranded NBC.
CSN Mid Atlantic became NBC Sports Washington.
TCN Mid Atlantic became NBC Sports Washington+.
CSN Philadelphia became NBC Sports Philadelphia.
TCN Philadelphia became NBC Sports Philadelphia+.
CSN New England became NBC Sports Boston.

RE: where is the outrage?
As already mentioned, at least now schools found out in early May (if not earlier) there would again be no regular TV deal, only the CBS Digital streaming the 1 game of the week. Last year schools didn't find out until Aug.

Again, RU seemed to get the best deal, getting all 5 of their home games regionally televised on CSN/CSN+ (which became NBC Sports/NBC Sports+

Looking at other CAA schedules from last year besides RU and JMU:
-Delaware had 3 of their 4 CAA home games televised by CSN/NBC Sports Philadelphia (including vs JMU), with the 4th CAA games streamed on CBS Digital.
-Maine had 3 of their 5 home games local Fox College Sports affiliate, with a 4th streamed CBS Digital.
-UNH had 1 televised on Fox College Sports Atlantic; streaming 2 on ESPN3, 1 on CBS Sports Digital.
-W&M had their home game vs JMU on COX Yurview Virginia, 1 streamed on CBS Digital.

Below showed no home games on regular regional TV, only streamed:
-Albany all 5 streamed, 3 on ESPN3, 1 Fox Sports Go, 1 CBS Digital.
-Elon: 2 games on CBS Sports Digital.
-TU: 2 games on Fox Sports Go, 1 on ESPN 3.
-SBU, VU, URI only the 1 league home game CBS Sports Digital.

I'm sure we'll see a similar hodge podge this season.

Never forget the URI broadcast where you couldn’t even see score/time or first down marks because they only had a chain gang on one side of the field, leaving the viewers completely blind. BJK & I were at that game & Im pretty sure I FaceTimed the field for Deez & his house so they could get a better view.

Yes that was the single worst broadcast I've ever seen. The audio was a local radio broadcast and sounded "distant". I think they put a microphone up to the radio or something. It was also a few seconds ahead of the video so "TOUCHDOWN!" and then five seconds later you actually saw the touchdown on the screen. Talk about anti-climactic.

We were at the mercy of the announcers to tell us the score, the time, the down and yardage, the placement on the field and even if they got a first down because we had no marker on the other side of the field to see if they crossed it.

We basically had them tell us every possible aspect of the game because we couldn't really see anything we're used to seeing.

I also think one of the announcers went on a mini-political rant at one point in his commentary. It was pitifully small time. The whole thing REALLY made you appreciate how good we have it with Curt Dudley.

We traveled to that game & MAN was it small-time! Hope our leaders don’t consider that a peer...

Ok, could have been. The 2017 VU schedule only shows their Maine game as being the CAA Game of the Week (CBS Digital) & doesn't show any other home games as being televised or streamed. Maybe all the schools' schedules games media coverage might not be accurate.

This might be a good resource... http://lsufootball.net/archives/tvschedule-2017.htm

CFB TV schedule archives (link above for 2017 season).

It shows the Richmond-Nova game was telecast via Fox College Sports Atlantic.

Would happily pay $5 for ESPN+ over CSL (it may technically be owned by CBS, but there is zero integration or cross promotion). CSL feels like a 2 bit sideshow. ESPN+ feels like an extension to ESPN.

The other "major" (MVFC, Big South) FCS conferences are there. Might as well be where we can see those games too.

would have been better except it was a little choppy. Maybe bad service from all those people at the game in South Kensington.

Don't worry JMU fans, the CAA commissioner will come to a JMU football practice and put on a football uniform and Jeff Bourne will grandstand the event.

The crowd was hilarious in my opinion. We watched the 2nd half from the “home” stands & threw streamers for every score. They were all like...yep.
