The Southern Miss women clinched the C-USA Outdoor Title after posting 131 points while the men came in C-USA Outdoor Champion Runner Up with 110 points. This marks the first time since the start of Conference USA that the women have claimed the title.

Head Coach Jon Stuart was awarded the Women’s Outdoor Coach of the Year after the phenomenal finish by the Golden Eagles.

"To get four trophies in one year, our second place finish in cross country, second place in Indoor and now the Outdoor championship, joined by our men’s second place finish, what an incredible effort from these kids."

This is a pretty big thing in terms of accomplishment. I remember when we did not have a team and/ or we had 1 or 2 standouts. This signifies we have developed a top program in the conference. Congratulations to the coaches and team members.

Great job Track and Field....any good athletic program needs to be well-rounded and not just emphasizing the Big 3 sports.
