Please give me your thoughts on this as the basis for a book cover. It involves time travel, shootouts, car chases, murder and, of course, dinosaurs. Would this entice you to check it out?

If it's heavy on dinosaurs yes but if that was the cover and dinosaurs only played a small role would be pretty upset

Oh no, they're pivotal. They're kind of the whole point and the Allosaurus is a character. But since his dialogue is kind of limited I have to put some people in it. Seriously, dinosaurs were the whole point of writing it.

Could you include a car or people in the foreground instead of the trees to help show there's more than just dinosaurs?

The problem you run into is that it has to look good as a thumbnail, so the more details you put in the harder it is to attract attention. And the layout has the foreground covered up with graphics anyway. However, we are playing around with putting prison bars across the dinosaur image.

Ummm... The picture doesn't show time travel, shootouts, car chases, or murder.

I think the cover misses in a "You Never Even Call Me By My Name" kind of way.
