You’re right that this is fun! This is the most excited I’ve been about an upcoming basketball season and potential recruiting class in many many years. Penny knows what he’s doing

Most of us were categorizing the theoretical AC staff as needing 1 former NCAA HC, 1 experienced recruiter, and 1 new recruiter. That's why some had disappointment with the Mitchell news.

Assuming the Mitchell hire is coming, we're getting all that - it's just spread among 4 guys. Miller is obviously the new recruiter with big name and connections. Tony is a local, experienced, well-rounded guy who can recruit. And more importantly, he can handle daily college management. He knows how things are done in the NCAA.

Sam is an experienced, former head coach. He is a solid X and O guy. He doesn't have LB's credentials, but he was a former COY. And what he offers that Brown doesn't is recruiting. He's already on the scene and knows the AAU world today. So we are getting 4 guys who all bring something different to the recruiting game.

let Madlock take care of the day-to-day running of a college program as he has 20 years experience coaching college hoops. let Sam Mitchell coach Xs and Os (2007 NBA COY) along with recruiting connections. Miller can recruit and is probably great at working with players individually. Penny can run practice, recruit, and do some floor coaching during games along with being the face of the program.
