I was fortunate enough to see them as a kid when they had Curly Neal and Meadowlark Lemon. They were great!

Used to watch them on TV all the time when I was younger. Looking forward to seeing them in person tonight and also the opportunity to check out the AUBC!!

I miss this thread... for those of us that live a plane ride and a timezone away, what are the next campus projects we're tracking - anything of note we should add to our campus tour this fall??

Ha was going to say the same thing. I know those guys because they were characters on Scooby Doo episode re-runs I would watch as kid in the 80's.

My understanding is that you have COB expansion (2020) and subsequent Showker renovations (2021) to go with the Phillips Hall replacement (2020) and AUBC (2020), as the projects completed during the pandemic.

Other than that, my understanding is that a bunch of other projects which were passed in the 2019-20 legislative session have all been temporarily shelved until future revenues look more certain. Per the Breeze in 12/20:
Quote:Charles King, senior vice president for administration and finance, said JMU decided this summer to delay a $49 million renovation of Eagle Hall, a $25 million renovation to the Convocation Center and a $3 million renovation to Sentara Park.”

Last year JMU paused all new construction indefinitely. I am unsure of when things restart. You'll see projects being completed that were already underway. The dining hall replacement for PC Dukes fully opened this fall, Showker Hall renovation will wrap up this fall (I think it is still ongoing but am not sure). The full COB learning complex will then be complete. Upcoming projects that I was aware of was the Carrier Library expansion, Warren/Taylor Hall renovation/expansion, old convo renovation, and Eagle Hall renovation, and I am unsure of what order/priority these will occur.

edit. Thanks MarginalDuke! You beat me. And I forgot about the expansion at Sentara park thanks to the gift from an anonymous donor.
