As far as 2004 goes, Southern Miss:
1.Looks to have a good football team that has a win over Nebraska.
2.Fielded a solid Top-25 baseball team.
3.Stunk it up in basketball.
For Tulane:
1.Has a football team that has a win over a 1AA team and has been defeated soundly by MSU and USM.
2.Fielded a solid Top-25 baseball team.
3.Stunk it up worse than USM in basketball(you lost to us twice).
So to sum it up, Southern Miss has better football and basketball than Tulane(even though it's still terrible). Baseball is relatively even, probably a slight edge for Tulane.
To answer your question, Southern Miss has thus far had a better athletic year than Tulane and cannot be the worst in CUSA.
(Psst. It's just a joke Wave Fans, please forgive me :D )
