Rising deficit & declining unemployment
Goldman Sachs says last time we've had declining unemployment and rising deficit was during the Vietnam and Korean wars.

RE: Rising deficit & declining unemployment
What I think is interesting is that economic policy has been completely controlled by the Federal Reserve Board the last couple of decades but with Trump applying tariffs liberally that is having the effect of tempering the markets by itself.

Will a shrinking trade imbalance, reduction in military ect. make an impact on the deficit? It is too early to tell at this point. How long will Trump be president?

The rising discount rate might foreshadow another real estate run up. In 2004-2006 the discount rate shot up and media was forecasting much higher rates so people were pressured into jumping into the market causing prices to explode. This time I think its going to be different because of tighter qualification standards than in those years.
