He was the founding commissioner of C-usa that put a bunch of rag tag schools together in C-usa with most of us now in the AAC

Was a friend of the leagues, the AAC and SEC had a bunch of agreements for non-revenue sports

Slive also turned his back on CUSA when he moved on to the SEC, and is a major reason we are in the G5 ghetto in his push for so called p5 autonomy. I'm sorry for his family, but not a hero to me.

the aac has numerous scheduling agreements with the sec, for things reffing, for womens bball scheduling agreements, for non-revenue sports...

aresco has said he p5 commish that was open with him was slive...
aresco has always spoke that he was working on a mens ball scheduling agreement with a p5,but that we had to build up the leagues reputation first

i cant say for a fact it was the sec, but i can almost guarantee it was.since we set one up in womens basketball.....
silve didnt give us handouts...at the end f the day he has to work or the interest of the sec, and doing an agreement with us a few years ago would have been a perception hit to them

but he gave us alot more help than any of the other p5 commissioners
