The Pirates drop is due to losing 2/3 @ UConn. Had we won 2/3 we would have stayed even.

Honestly we deserved the drop we got and we're lucky to be in the top 20 still. Finished the season 9-6(6-6) and ended up 4th in the standings. And I don't want to hear excuses about how good the league is and we got tough breaks, if you want to be an elite team you just get it done and we haven't so far this year. Luckily because of our road record and series win against UNC we are still in decent shape for hosting a regional but a deep run in the tourney would help.

I don't have a great feeling about us going forward in the post season, we left 49 guys on base the last two series of the season, if we don't get better production we won't be going very far. I know it'd be crazy to in the midst of this hitting streak but I really feel the offense would be better off with Lloyd hitting first and Packard third.
