2:1 vs the gators at least makes sense. They just don't play road games OOC except FSU or Miami. 2:1 against loserville, a former conference mate of USF is just embarrassing. Especially since a few weeks later UCF got a 1:1 with loserville.

Even as a 2 for 1, this is a great opportunity for USF. 3 nationally televised games and all close enough for a large USF contingent to attend. Maybe this is CUSA thinking of me, but fan experience for OOC games is a top priority for me. Go buy all those tickets at the Swamp and turn those 2 games into neutral site battles.

all AAC games are nationally televised. This isn't cusa or the mac. Agree though Florida will put 70K in the stadium and it'll be a sea of blue and orange. USF season ticket holders will likely sell their tix for a premium to gator fans just like they did vs FSU.

Some of you are delusional01-wingedeagle

Schools that aren't giving you a 1:1

UGA, Bama, Florida, LSU, Auburn, Tennessee
Michigan, Nebraska, Penn State, Ohio State, Wisconsin
Oklahoma, Texas
Clemson, Notre Dame
USC, Oregon, Washington, UCLA

And honestly those are just the obvious ones. There's tons of others asides from the bottom dwellers that won't either.

Memphis played UCLA in a 1:1...didn't bother fact checking the rest.

At least USF is scheduling more than 1 P5 every year, in some cases 3.

*Looks at Memphis*

I'm done just off the top of my head.

The truth is there are only a handful of teams who can reasonably demand two for ones. It's an exclusive list. Some people will say no to even those five or six teams and have good reason.

More people saying no to them is the only way to stop it this. When the A5 teams ooc is all little sisters of the poor and st.mary's college of the blind and it hurts their playoff bids it will change rapidly.

In addition to ND-Navy home and home every year until the end of time (actually the current contract ONLY goes through 2026), Navy had a home-and-home with Ohio State 2009/2014. As I looked at Penn State, I admitted that our 2012 game there was a one-off...but didn't Temple just have a 1-1 with the Nits?

UCF signed a 1-1 with PSU but I don't think anyone ever expected the 2nd game in Orlando to get played. Later when PSU was going to buy out of it we suggested moving the game to Ireland instead, which despite the outcome of the game was an amazing trip for the players and fans.

Navy's "home" games with ND are not actually played at home, are they?

I agree, the 2:1 with Louisville was a complete and total debacle and should have never been scheduled. Charlie is signing 2 for 1's left and right, and I for one, am not happy.

They are not played in Navy Marine Corps Memorial Stadium.

We choose to play them in a larger venue in order to sell more tickets. We have for years spread them around to NFL stadia outside the immediate Annapolis area -played them in the Meadowlands when I was a mid. ND likes that as they keep all those "subway alumni" happy with more tickets available. Navy likes that for the money.

Cities bid on the chance to host, which means money in Navy's coffers - reporting from Jax was $4.5 million guaranteed gate. Any visitor's guarantee we give ND out of that is offset by our visitor's guarantee in odd numbered years.

Dublin in '12 was actually the SECOND Navy home game vs ND in Ireland.
Our scheduling is now limited to AAC, ND, Army, AF and only one other game to schedule. So recently, Navy's intent in selecting sites has been to regain a little bit of our "nationalness" that was lost to the more limited AAC schedule. Jax and SD are no-brainers; reports were Jax was 60-40 Navy in terms of crowd and I expect the same from SD - remember Navy outdrew SDSU in Poinsettia Bowls. That won't be true in the Meadowlands in 2020.

Make no mistake though, the scheduling contract between thte two institutions is a home-and-home and the even-numbered years are Navy home games for TV rights, ticket sales, etc. As evidenced by AAC now having those rights for 2020 and beyond as part of the inventory ('18 was an option year for CBS that I believe was picked up.)

Same with Ohio State in 09/14 - Navy chose to play the return game, our home game, in Baltimore. We have a GREAT relationship with Baltimore and the Ravens organization - they would love for ALL the ND games and as many Army-Navy's as they can get to be in M&T.

I know Houston/SMU have historical ties with UT, A&M, Tech, etc but if they can get 1:1 I think they should go wholesale for the Pac-12 OOC.

If PAC-12 will play ball, Tulsa too.
