Former Liberty University head baseball coach Jim Toman has emerged as strong candidate to succeed Jim McGuire at MTSU.

It looks like this guy is the Berry of the Big 10. He took over an Omaha program and has done OK ... but hasn’t gotten them to the next level. 3 regionals in 4 years but has never gotten to a super. Regional record is 4-6. Has never finished above 3rd in the conference. McDonnell disciple.

Beag.......any speculation on who we won't play in CUSA next year? I ask that as towards the end of this season I remember seeing on the La Tech board where they say they've been told they will finally play FAU in a regular season series as that's been the team they miss out on. Our "missing CUSA opponent" the last 2 years has been Charlotte who has been top 100 the last 2 years while we've had WKU, MT, UAB and Marshall who've combined to have one top 150 finish and around 5 combined 200+ RPI finishes. I realize RPI can jump drastically from year to year as recently ODU was a 2 seed in 2017 and last place this year while Marshall did the same from 2016-2018... 2016 (59) and 2017 (134) and 2018 (203)

No clue. Read on the CUSA board that FAU is missing Marshall .... so it’s not either of them. Possibly ODU again? Maybe FIU?

Wonder what Reynolds hold up on signing is? Maybe a slim chance he returns to college; extremely doubtful though considering he can't top this past year he had.

Maybe he’s agreed to 125k but there’s something holding up him signing.

On twitter, a writer for MLB.com reported that he signed six days ago.

I figured he'd sign. But you never know. Negotiations breaks down every now and then.

Wallner didn’t make the roster for the USA team’s series vs Japan and Cuba.

He’s not on their roster yet, but I’d expect to see him on the Falmouth Commodores team (Cape Cod League) soon.
