We won because we got what we wanted, which was the British to quit stopping our merchant ships and kidnapping our citizens. The Canadians didn't lose their country, but we still won the war. And to top it off, Col. Jackson went down the mighty Mississip and had the British commence to runnin' before either Jackson or those British knew the war was already over.
