Israel is probably in a stronger position in 2018 than at any time in their history since the peak Solomons kingdom 3000 years ago.

The OT clearly predicts Egypt to be around in the last days , even into the Millennial Kingdom with a lot of detail. Egypt is predicted to be a major part of Christ's Kingdom in the 1000 year reign. The pharaohs are long gone though.

Where are the Amorites?
The Hittites?
The Jesubites?
The Canaanites?
The Moabites?
The Edomites?
The Philistines?
etc, etc, etc.

Israel was totally destroyed just as these other Kingdoms, but after nearly 2000 years of being scattered across the while earth, Israel lives again today and the rest are all long gone.

Just as was predicted in the OT centuries before Christ was even born.
