Except ... there's obviously no other mistake remotely in the same galaxy with dropping a pop-up that would have won the title.
So you're just engaging in the futile exercise of "thinking hard" to try and work your way around that monolith of a fact.
And failing miserably. Oregon State was gifted a miracle, that's why they won. Sorry if that makes you feel less proud about it or something, but whatever.
You are so right. A great series for OSU but That easy pop-up not caught with two out was the big difference.
There were other effects that went to help Arkansas. For instance, in Game 1, which Arkansas won 4-1. Oregon State hit a ball that was right up against the foul line. The ref ruled it foul. After review, it was ruled fair. Steven Kwan, one of our fastest guys, had tore out of there like a bat out-of-hell and was easily in between second and third at the time it was called. He likely would have scored, therefore giving the Beavers a run there. He was placed on 3rd after the review.
There was another questionable call of interference with the base runner which cost Oregon State another run (apparently the ruling was that the baserunner didn't slide into second, so therefore interferred with the double-play).
No doubt, baseball games are full of plays and calls, nine inning's worth of them. But, none of this reduces by even 1% the fact that if Arkansas had caught a pop up that any 11 year old little leaguer woukd catch, Oregon State is swept.

Youre right. This has got to be the most spectacular failure to close the deal for a sure win by somebody from Arkansas since what? November of 2016?

LOL ... do you mean the Belk Bowl vs VT? Yeah that was a bad one. But like the Falcons blowing the super bowl vs the Patriots, that unfolded over a period of time. It wasn't a single moment like the pop up.
This pop up flub is on the same short list of snatching defeat from the jaws of victory as the ball rolling through Buckner's legs and Seattle throwing the INT at the end of the super bowl.
Only reason it won't be remembered quite as much is because it's college baseball, not MLB or NFL.
