Who's all returning? After all, games are won in the trenches.

OL:
LT - Dorbeck
LG - Fletcher
C - ?
RG - Pollard
RT - ?

DL:
OLB/DE - Yancey (or Edmonson or Smith)
DL/DT - Landry (or Cole or Freeman)
DL/DE - Harris
DE - Turner (or Sykes or Edmonson or Smith)

LB:
Booth, Schrimsher, Ruff, Davis, Sangster, maybe Yancey if they move him to LB

Observations: we're deep in personnel on the d-line...but not so much on the o-line. Wouldn't be shocked if they decided to move one of the DT's to OL like Cole, Freeman, or Landry.

Off the top of my head I'd add:

LB:
TyRee Evans

DLine:
Deuntra Hyman
Nick Dawson

These are JUCO guys that, one would assume, were brought in for immediate contribution.

Yes, my apologies.

I expect big things from Evans this year.

Gainer seems a little on the small side...? 6'3 280. Needs to add at least 20 more lbs.

Strong. I liked our defense this Spring. Our front-7 better be our strength. It was solid last year and should be upgrading if Hop has recruited like I think he has.

Our OLine played a lot of kids last year. Even with a freshman at center, we should be solid. We need to be smash-mouth capable.

Our schedule works in our favor. JSU will be out-manned and whoever QBs will look all-world. Our DLine should feast. A shutout and less than 10 first downs for JSU. ULaMo might suffer the same. That would give us some swagger heading to unfamiliar territory, App State.

It does give comfort knowing we get two scrimmages before Appy. I hope I don't regret calling ULM a scrimmage.

You will...ULM will be a hand full. They found themselves a QB before the year was over last year.

I have a feeling it will be a close one whether it's 42-38 or 17-14....kinda like Texas St a few years back at their place (won 56-50) or even the game vs Appy State at our place in 2014 (won 21-20). I hope I'm wrong but I just don't see us beating them by more than 2 TDs. And wouldn't be completely shocked if we lost on the last possession whether it's them scoring on a last minute score or us making a turnover while attempting a game winning drive

Defense should be solid, especially front 7. Offense not so sure. The Oline I think will be decent, just too many questions on offense to know how they will play. Will the new receivers, RB's, etc come together. Hope so. Whoever ends up at Qb will be better that last year. Mostly I think this year will be fun watching this team come together and improve for what I think will be an exceptional year next year. SMTTT

ULM played FSU about as competitively as we did.

I gander to say we lost much more production than they did.
