It is incredibly rare for a doctor to not finish their residency unless there was some underlying incompetence or social transgression. This lawsuit alone is likely not why he was let go. He was probably annoying af and a nut. Or he was dedicating all of his time to political aspirations and not enough to boards and hospital work.

Either way, way to waste an amazing opportunity in surgical residency at a top notch hospital group like Vandy.

You can't take political stands as a doctor. Let's say a patient under his care were to pass away. Let's say that patient was a well-known white supremacist. And the deceased patient's family has pictures of the doctor kneeling in protest of white supremacy. That family would be getting paid.

Asian American doctor discrimination? Dude needs to look around. There are tons of Asian doctors all across America, my boss being one of them.

I know the hospital my wife works at they're not allowed to use their phone except at break and they get those just a couple times during a shift, due to cellphones being a major distraction especially if you're caring for people. Makes me wonder if Vandy checked his work schedule with his Twitter rants and he was doing it on the clock.
