Realignment Experts on YouTube
My favorite subplot of realignment is the crazies who stumble onto a platform and fancy themselves experts.

Today, I discovered such videos and they’re a beacon of entertainment.

So if anyone finds any that have flown over the cuckoo’s nest, post them here for the laugh.

This one’s so kind to enlighten us what to expect next realignment. It’s so bad, it’s good.

Highlights:
- Iowa’s a “Southern” state
- ND & WVU to B1G
- Boise to PAC
- JMU to AAC
- NIU & NDSU to MWC

So the Sun Belt’s going to invite an FCS team to go from 10 teams to 11, and not use divisions like we will starting in 2018?

Right.

RE: Realignment Experts on YouTube
Not me. I see West Virginia will have troubles getting into another P5 conference. Plus, I do not see Notre Dame joining the Big 10 either. The Big 10 would raid ACc and the Big 12 like Kansas, Virginia, UNC.

James Madison I would say would get a C-USA spot while ODU go to the AAC. Army would bulk in joining the AAC. I think UTSA is more attractive to the AAC than any of the western C-USA schools.

I would not think UNI will go to the MWC. I think it would be UTEP and North Dakota State. Imagine what the games would be like between Wyoming and NDSU?

I agree with Chattanooga. It would be a home run for the SBC. I would grab Lamar or Missouri State as a balance for east/west.

I only see Kansas, Oklahoma and Texas joining the eastern conferences. t have to be an agreement that the Big 12 will keep the P5 status, or the politics of all three states gets in the way.

WVU makes a lot more sense than Rutgers.

I understand that but does anyone other than college administrators and posters on this board know what AAU even is? Nebraska isn't AAU so this isn't a hard and fast rule.

Nebraska lost AAU status after joining the conference.

And many of the current B1G members voted to drop Nebraska's AAU status. I don't believe AAU is a hard-and-fast rule but there must be other circumstances that make it not a requirement. For example, Notre Dame is not AAU but if they wanted in the conference then the B1G would jump on it.

I was only looking at the timeline, I don't follow the Big10 so I don't know their rules. A quick google search showed Nebraska accepted the Big10 invite in June 2010; the AAU vote was in April 2011 with only Michigan and Wisconsin publicly listed as possible no votes; then Nebraska officially joins in July 2011. If it was a rule it was too late to do anything about it anyway. I'm sure Nebraska's academic profile (except AAU) fits the rest of the conference, same with Notre Dame, making it a non-issue after all these years. There are Big10 people here who can clear this up.

If I remember correctly, there was an issue with the Nebraska medical school.

I just don't think it is an issue in any way and stand by my assertion that WVU would've made a lot more sense as an addition.

RE: Realignment Experts on YouTube
College Football Lifer does have some interesting realignment ideas, history of the conferences like conference changes, and many other ordeals. He put North Dakota State in the Big 10 with Cincinnati to the east. It is something he said if the P5 decides to go to 16 teams and the P5 have not raid each other. He had San Diego State, New Mexico, UNLV and Boise State in the PAC 12. Tulsa in the SEC I had an issue with that with East Carolina on the east. I told him Toledo would be a much better team to go to the SEC than Tulsa. Would be interesting to see Toledo to take on Arkansas again.
