Was this an attempt to make each sentence progressively worse?

No. The pussification of football continues. Soon they'll be wearing flags to pull. Good luck with attendance then.

"Pussification"? You mean trying to prevent players from being mostly useless, if not dead, by their 40's?

But just to humor you, in a sport where dealing with injuries is just a reality, your solution is to cut rosters in more than half and make the game more violent?

Last team that can still field a full team takes all?

It certainly works for UFC.

clt is confused. UTSA is sharing a field with an AAC team?

clt calls for UTSA to be demoted to the sun belt

Okay buddy, sounds like you need to take a 5 minute breather.

Though, it is time for UTSA to consider exploring an on campus site option.

Any word on replacing current convocation Center, to any of the UTSA people out there?

I dont know if they have enough room. That campus is one of the most crowded ive ever seen.
Actually the impression i got was that it is mostly athletic facilities and housing. Judging by the number of buses parked i would guess that the downtown campus is were most academic take place.
I have wondered of utsa ever explored using the old alamo stadium. its closer to campus. Im just partial to old stadiums with some character.

Alamo Stadium is too small. It received a $35 million renovation a few years back, it's largest since it's opening in 1940, and reduced it's capacity to 18K seats. There are no suites and the logistics around the stadium would be a nightmare for large crowds. The school district with owns the stadium has refused any sales or allowance of alcohol on the property and to my knowledge the rental fee would be the same or larger than what UTSA pays for the Alamodome.

For those with endzone seats, it would feel like if your are watching the game from Mars because of the track that surrounds the field.

There's no talk of an on-campus stadium, that I know of at this time.

Tracks around a football field is so high school. Do any of CUSA teams have tracks around their football fields?

Cue CLT to bring up App St.

North Texas did until 2011, which is of course was prior to their invite.

But even as bad as Fouts Field was with the track, it wasn't as bad as Lockhart Stadium in Fort Lauderdale which of course was also replaced before FAU's invite.

The three worst college facilities I've ever seen are Reese Smith Field(MT baseball) pre 2009 renovation, Lockhart Stadium, replaced by FAU Stadium in 2011, and the Trojan Dome in Troy, replaced by Trojan Arena in 2012.

I'm definitely envious of FAU and UNT for their FB stadiums, but if I'm being honest, without massive changes to the landscape of college athletics, I'm feeling less and less inclined to agree with spending that amount of money when the future of G5 football is, at best, more uncertain than ever.

They’re expanding the UTSA downtown campus, money has already been allocated.

The next 1-2 years they are doing an Athletic only capital campaign which will more than likely (99%) provide enough money to build an on campus athletic complex which will include many many updated facilities & even more modern features that might be considered going overboard.

This just brings back memories of UNT Dallas for me. The campuses ended up splitting into two separate universities after the Dallas one got enough funding. Who knows if UTSA's downtown campus would do that too, but I dont like money being spent away from the main campus.

If you read more into it there’s a reason, and it is Monetarily. San Antonio is trying to transform into a city to be able to have a NLF team in the next 10 years -LINK - https://www.google.com/amp/s/syndication....amp.html.

It’s the fastest growing cities (link- https://www.census.gov/newsroom/press-re...ities.html)

We have a ton of large Fortune 500 companies & more are planning to move here. We also have any Donors. The size of the main campus and the size of the DT campus will be the same. The main reason the expansion of the DT campus is due to our leading cyber security program and the Need to expand it. Plus parcels of land are opening up which will benefit the university. Just like we are buying parcels at the main campus. What it comes down to is San Antonio is growing so fast they need to take these measures to ensure we will meet our 10 year initiative prior to the 10 yeas. There are a lot of changes and more modern changes coming to SA which will be beneficial to UTSA, making it easier for large companies to invest in UTSA facilities as we grow which in turn will benefit CUSA.
