Todd Stansbury keeps doing good work
I've asked for YEARS to be able to buy away game tickets in the official GT sections without having to buy season tickets. Atlanta is just too far away for me to go to *EVERY* game. And in fact some "away" games for me are quite a lot closer: Clemson, Wake Forest, South Carolina. Even games in Raleigh/Durham are about as far away as Atlanta.

FINALLY if you're an A-T Fund donor you can simply just go buy away game tickets. And proper flex packs without limitation like they use to do.

It's nice to have competence at AD for a change. 04-cheers

So who were they selling away tickets to? Did the season ticket holders buy all of the away tickets too?

I could see having a priority system but to not sell them at all??

You had to have season tickets. Non-negotiable. They sold them only to season ticket holders and allocated by A-T Points. They'd rarely buy out the entire allotment except at Georgia (duh) and at Clemson. And I suspect the Clemson one is due to the strength of the GSP GT Alumni Organization, which has done things like buy out sections of Littlejohn when GT plays there and distribute the tickets within the alumni organization. (I'd guess at cost or with proceeds benefiting the SC GT Alumni Scholarship, awarded to the SC GT admission of the highest merit that wasn't awarded a scholarship through GT otherwise.)

This is part of the reason why Georgia Tech's Fan base has not traveled well... I think if we string some winning seasons B2B folks might find that more people start traveling. The AD has the ship finally pointed in the right direction..

Another good thing is the "Mobile Stinger Pass" it started at Basketball games but will be used at Football games...

The Stinger Mobile Pass is a new, flexible ticket option for Georgia Tech football fans. For only $149, the Stinger Mobile Pass guarantees a seat for all six home games at Bobby Dodd Stadium in 2018. Stinger Mobile Pass tickets are mobile-only and delivered to the buyer’s iPhone or Android device each gameday. The exact seat location will vary from game to game, giving Stinger Mobile Pass ticket-holders the unique opportunity to experience Bobby Dodd Stadium from a different vantage point each gameday. Fans can buy up to two (2) Stinger Mobile Passes per account. Stinger Mobile Passes purchased in one transaction will have seats together for each game. Friends can also link Stinger Mobile Pass accounts to ensure that their seats will be together for each game.

The AD has made lemonade out of LEMONS concerning our new Adidas deal....Especially since everyone new RA was leaving and GT had no leverage....

For Georgia Tech, Adidas partnership bringing more than new gear

"Shah was not at liberty to disclose details about the uniforms – or if there will be an alternate look – but noted that athletic director Todd Stansbury has said often that Tech won’t be something akin to Oregon with Nike or Maryland with Under Armour (the two schools with perhaps the most radical uniform designs)."

I thought that is what you were saying it just seemed too silly to be true.

As a UCF fan, I perked up right quick when I heard that name. Blast from the past....
