This is the only sport where I do not let anybody interrupt a day (Saturday) for it, although having games during the week helps with my addiction.

RE: College Football preview
Iowa shows up at #39.

Wow looking at their writeup- they avoid playing Ohio St, Michigan, and Michigan St from the East. How is that possible?

Did love their new tradition they started last year of waving to the kids in the childrens hospital at the end of the 1st quarter of every game last year.

A few quick thoughts so far:

Colorado, Ole Miss, Missouri, and Kentucky seem way undervalued. Tennessee is way too high and realistically could finish in the 80s or higher based on their schedule. Not as familiar with some of the other G5 teams but Cincinnati seems a bit undervalued as well.

With all due respect, I don't get the point of this thread. It's just the opinion of one web site, I mean, if the AP poll was releasing their top 25 one day at a time, I could see tracking and discussing that, because the AP poll at least has some historical legacy behind it.

Yes, my wife knows ... on CF Saturday's, I'm up at 8 AM, flip on "Game Day" and have that on in the background for 3 hours as I putter around and take care of some business around the house, then at 11 AM (CST) I turn on the other two of my three TVs in the cave, and have a game on each one of them for basically the next 13 hours, unless a very compelling west coast game goes on even longer than that, or unless I finally fall asleep in my chair, LOL.

I make it up to her by making Friday a big date day and night, LOL.

I will take that a bit further.

For me, just about anything said or written during the entire off season is meaningless.

I don't ever pay any attention to any polls, write-ups, projections, predictions, "in depth analysis", etc... in the off season.

I just tune in for the games. Those are the only things that count. The games themselves will tell the true story.

Almost everything else (except injury, suspension or expulsion off season news) is pretty much just word vomit to fill dead air, get internet clicks or to sell subscriptions.

Hearing that the players are "really getting after it" in off season workouts or reading "predictions" from Dennis Dodds, Paul Finebaum or some other talking head is never anything I am interested in.

Who knows. There's not a link or a comprehensive list so I felt like if I posted that it might generate some discussion.

I agree, unless we are at the game of course. Saturdays are 100% for college football 14+ weeks a year.

Yes, there is a dizzying plethora of 'analysis' from talking heads on all these cable channels and web sites, and it's just designed to generate eyeballs for advertisers. I ignore 99.9% of it.

Louisville shows up at #38. I think if you told Louisville fans this would be where they wound up, they would be fairly happy with that.
