USF: In order ... Florida, Georgia, Alabama, Auburn, FSU, Miami, UCF.

That's the wish list, LOL.

RE: Who do you actually WANT to play?
Cincinnati Basketball:
1) Louisville, Dayton, Xavier 2) Notre Dame, Memphis, Marquette, Syracuse, Pitt, Ohio State, Purdue, Kentucky, Indiana, Illinois, Depaul, West Virginia, NKU, Charlotte*

Football (much less important):
1) Louisville, Notre Dame, Michigan, Ohio State, Purdue, Pittsburgh 2) Kentucky, Indiana, Michigan State, West Virginia, Syracuse, Rutgers (but only because we loved beating up on Rutgers in the Big East), Miami (OH) (only to continue beating up on them)

*edit - I added Charlotte for basketball because I loved our rivalry with them in the 90s.

RE: Who do you actually WANT to play?
Football:
MAC: Ohio, Toledo, Ball St, Buffalo, NIU, WMU, Akron
OOC: Cincinnati, Marshall, Northwestern/Mizzou/Illinois/other Big Ten, and home-and-home with a solid G5 team

Basketball:
Ohio, UC, Xavier, OSU, Dayton, any team in Chicagoland, Illinois, Mizzou, other Big Ten, NKU, Wright St, UB, Toledo, rest of MAC

We haven't done an awful job scheduling given the state of our programs - we have UC every year, have a home-and-home with Marshall starting this fall, get a Big Ten opponent most years, and have gotten some decent G5 football opponents (e.g. WKU, Army). In basketball we had OSU and Depaul last year with Xavier coming up this fall, though I wish we could get some of those at home some day like we did in the past...

Limited to 12 opponents. I wouldn't necessarily equate wanting to play someone with "being off the rocker" - if that was the intended equivalence. Every schools wants to be a power school, except for perhaps the Ivy League institutions or service academies. If the prompt were more about being realistic then lists for non-power schools would likely change dramatically.

After what they have done to the Utes in the past, doubt Utah will never play them again. When Utah got into the PAC, my guess the first thing Chris Hill did was cancel Boise series.

SJSU: 1) Fresno State, 2) Stanford, 3) Cal, 4) SDSU
tOSU: 1) Michigan, 2) Notre Dame, 3) Penn State, 4) USC

Now Flip the question. Who do you least want to play?

tOSU: Wisky

Always seems to be a trap game for the Buckeye, a dangerous opponent they never get up for, often lose to.

Love and Honor, this year is actually the final year of a 4 game deal that started back in 2013. Marshall and Miami don't have any future dates scheduled beyond this year's Herd victory.

RE: Who do you actually WANT to play?
In conference, I would like to UCF to play UH and SMU (for recruiting in Texas and being able to see the games) every year, Navy hoping just to build some sort of rivalry, along with the other east teams. As far as OOC, UF and FSU would be great, but can't see that with a H and H. A game at F_U is always important. I also would not mind a game once in a while, with Marshall and Southern Miss. Some great games with them in the CUSA.

RE: Who do you actually WANT to play?
This is for both football & basketball (definitely wish list & realistic)

Georgia: GT(N. Ave Trade School), Florida, Auburn, Clemson(every other year is fine), Tennessee, S.Carolina, ‘Bama,Miami (FL)[every other year], Florida State, Mississippi State, Oregon, Notre Dame, LSU, USC, Georgia State, Ga. Southern, Texas A&M, Texas, Navy, Army, & Air Force, Missouri. Same list for basketball, but substitute Duke for LSU, and Syracuse for USC, Yale & Georgetown & Kentucky too.

Oregon: Oregon State, Washington, Washington State, Colorado, Stanford, Purdue, USC, UCLA, maybe San Diego State, Gonzaga, Portland State, Portland, Auburn, Georgia, Virginia Tech, Tennessee, Butler, Florida State, Navy, Air Force, TCU, Notre Dame.

Montevallo: AUM, W.Alabama, UNA(volleyball, baseball, soccer)UAH, B’ham Southern (baseball)UAB, Samford, Troy, Jax State/South Alabama, Delta State, Chattanooga, UNC-Pembroke, Butler maybe.

Troy: South Alabama, Montevallo (non-football sports), Jacksonville State (basketball & baseball & soccer )Southern Miss, UAB, Middle Tennessee, ‘Bama & Auburn (every other year), Louisiana Tech, Ga. Southern, App. State, East Carolina, Houston, Navy, Rice, Wake Forest, Duke, Liberty, Fresno, Louisiana, ULM, Arkansas State, North Texas, UCF , BYU

Not a strong Southern Miss fan, but a casual one: Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Louisiana Tech, UAB, Marshall, Rice, North Texas, Troy, Wake Forest, Duke, East Carolina, Houston, Tulane, Tulsa, UCF, WKU, Middle Tennessee, UTEP, Louisville, Notre Dame, Cincinnati, Navy, Air Force, Army, BYU

No Baylor? I also thought about that 80s throwback thing for Rice with Texas, A&M, Tech, Baylor, Houston, TCU, SMU and Arkansas in conference, and LSU, Army, Northwestern and Tulane out of conference.

Reality is probably something like Louisiana Tech, UTEP, UTSA, Southern Mississippi, SMU, Tulane, UAB, and Marshall in conference, and Houston, Army, Texas and New Mexico out of conference.

Houston, Would love to see more home-and-homes vs old SWC teams—especially Texas and A&M. We literally haven’t played A&M since the SWC ended despite being probably less than 100 miles apart.

Marquette Basketball: Current Big East membership; Wisconsin; old Big East foes: Notre Dame, Louisville, Cincinnati, Syracuse, Pittsburgh and West Virginia; old Great Midwest Conference members: Loyola (IL), Saint Louis and Dayton; occasional blue chip opponents in UNC, Kansas, Kentucky, Indiana, Duke (will never happen with Coach K), and UCLA.

Notre Dame Football: Stanford, USC and Navy (annually); Boston College, Miami, Pittsburgh, Michigan, Michigan State, Purdue (semi-annually); Army, Northwestern, Penn State, North Carolina, Georgia Tech, and Florida State (quasi-annually). Annual game against a Big 12/SEC traditional power (Texas, Oklahoma, Texas A&M, Georgia, Ohio State, Alabama, Florida, LSU, Arkansas, etc.). Annual home game against a G5 program with connections to the school (Miami-OH, Western Kentucky, UMass, New Mexico State, etc.).

Georgetown Basketball: Current Big East membership; Maryland; old Big East members - Syracuse, Pittsburgh, Louisville, Cincinnati, West Virginia, Rutgers and Notre Dame; regional opponents - Virginia, Virginia Tech (especially now with Buzz), VCU; Tobacco Road - UNC, Duke, NC State and Wake; Miami.
