Georgetown could improve last year's schedule and still have this year's worst.

Georgetown's schedule this year isn't all that bad:

Syracuse, Illinois, SMU, Richmond, and others included.

Fair play; I figured they'd try to amp up the quality of opposition a bit, and adding Illinois and SMU to last year's schedule is a good move in that direction. (Richmond wasn't supposed to be so bad when they inked the deal, but life comes at you sometimes).

So even if they don't add another fair-to-middling opponent, it's better than USF's OOC

Wow. USF even traveling to Charlotte and FIU. Not knocking the idea of traveling to CUSA schools, just wouldn't expect for USF to have to cave for not good programs.

They went up to Boone to play App State last year and somehow lost.

Very few will top Grand Canyon's 5 home HBCU's last season.

Wasn't it the first season they were actually D1? They've got a decent one this season with Nevada and Boise State coming to town, also traveling to Texas and Northern Iowa.

First eligible. The idea I think was to build up a bunch of wins, but GCU was woefully unprepared for Conference play. The schedule is better this year - they learned playing a bunch of blowout games doesn't prepare you for good teams.

Illinois is part of the Gavitt games so they didn't actually have anything to do with setting up that game.
