This year is a freebie for us. Whatever happens happens. Has to be better than last season. 2019 is the year we are really looking forward to.

2 reasons...

1) Most of us dont care what some dude in NH says.
2) Most of us realize that this conference is a mess of mediocrity this season and we are part of it.

Well, he is an AP Poll voter come basketball season. His CT colleague was also 1 of 4 voters who ranked UCF #1 in the Final College Football AP Poll.

So maybe you should care a little...

I refuse to allow myself to be enthused about another positive UCF preseason projection. Not until BJ Taylor, Fall, and Dawkins prove they can play a season without constantly getting injured.

If they were healthy then I'd drink the coolaid since this team really is stacked. But too many injuries.

Fool me once, shame on - shame on you. Fool me - you can't get fooled again.

Is it a good thing that UCF is predicted second in the AAC? Or is this indicative of the conference being down in 2018-2019?

UCF is really good, when healthy. My guess is the AAC overall will be in the same position next year relative to other conferences as last year when the AAC was the best conference outside the P-5 and the BE (Source).

Of course, once Memphis and UConn better realize their potential, the gap will grow wider and likely move the AAC up the list.
