My top three teams I would like to see my cougars beat this year
1) aTm, beating these dudes would really help cougar recruiting
2) Texas, besting these dudes would really help cougar recruiting
3) LSU, beating these swampbillys would really help cougar recruiting

For Memphis, I'd love to face off against Notre Dame, Florida State or Oklahoma in a NY6 bowl.

As good as we've been in football lately, there's still a segment of non-believers and eye-rollers when it comes to supporting the Tigers on the gridiron. These are mostly SEC football fans who only root for Memphis during basketball season. The only way to convince these people that Tiger football is worth supporting, is to play and beat a legit ppowerhouse in a prestigous bowl game.

the panic on espn would be glorious as they are forced to talk about UConn football lol. i have a bunch of friends who are buckeye fans...so i would be able to talk trash finally lol. I would also love to face Michigan one of my closest friend goes there and he has been a big M fans since birth.
I also feel like a victory in a ny6 would secure a spot in the p5. As long as we keep it together and not go winless over the next few years.
But, honestly, it would be glorious to smack around OU after they ruined our big day 7 years ago lol

Memphis is already recruiting at its’ highest in history under Norvell. For the fanbase to grow, and therefore budget, casual fans need to be converted to paid supporters.

Several reasons.

1) UCF very rarely plays PAC teams. Diversity is good.
2) Playing off Point 1, UCF has already beat the Big 12 champ and SEC Runner-Up in major bowls over the last 5 years. I want to play the best from all around the country.
3) PAC teams are soft of late, and very beatable.
4) A chance to beat a true blue-blood like USC. Baylor didn't really give us that satisfaction, and Auburn is arguably not one either.
5) I'll selfishly already be in New Mexico during the games so I can make the Fiesta easier than the others.

I agree that a PAC opponent would be the easiest win in a NY6 bowl.
