College Sports Journal Liberty Preview
Check out the Liberty preview here along with all DI schools (both FBS and FCS).

http://www.college-sports-journal.com/20...ty-flames/

Once all the FBS Independents are complete, we will have another preview of these too. Be sure to check out coverage during the season.

Wow! 6th in Va. That means your team is rated behind at least 2 FCS teams if I'm reading this right. JMU I can see, but wonder who the other one is? Has to be either Richmond or W&M

Yep, that stings a bit but isn’t totally unexpected. We didn’t exactly light up the world last year against our competition. Hoping for better things this year. Maybe stuff like this will motivate the guys to play harder and execute better.

Don't get too worked up. They rated ODU 5th in VA, presumably behind JMU and Richmond. I wouldn'y put too , much stock in their rankings. I could;ve done the same analysis and they couldn't even list their team previews in a logical or usable manner.

I think I’m going to start my on podcast. I’ll probably start with a season preview for Liberty.

Enjoyed listening to the analysis. The two FCS opponents sound better than I would have thought. I will note that New Mexico runs a triple treat option (and pistol-option) offense under Bob Davie. That is exactly the type of offense that will give LU’s defense a lot of problems because of the weak run defense. I’m taking a guess that is a loss.

FYI Two of LU's opponents are playing this Saturday.

Duquesne @ UMass
Wyoming @ New Mexico State

The UMass game should be a win. I think the NMSU game will be very telling particularly against a MW team. LU has them two times this season so I will watch this game closely.

As I write this, Wyoming is up 12 to 0 in the second. Total yards for Wyoming is 190 to -5. First downs for Wyoming are 10 to 0.

Wyoming won, I think 29-7, with NMSU finally scoring in the last minute of the game.
