Not at all, most Auburn fans I've met would have preferred to have beaten us,of course, but were all in on our national championship claim. That's obvious though given their rivalry with bama.

Beat me to it. Was it the writer of the article or Huepel that made that claim? Even your Temple reasoning is from the standpoint of a fan within this conference. Other than the blip of "UCF is saying they are the national champions" that ran on PTI for about 45 seconds, I'm not sure the general fan was aware enough of that story to have an opinion, much less hate UCF.

The writer of the article (Bianchi) is the one trying to say UCF is the most hated team in America. That's quite a stretch...he was just looking for a sensationalist headline.

The coach (Heuple) has never said anything like that. He know's UCF is the "hunted" this year, but is trying to turn that psychology on it's head by coaching the team to continue to be the hunter.
