did in 2008.

Well that's just stupid. I mean, I'm all for UCF's claim, but that makes me doubt the CM formula, bigly.

To be perfectly honest, Colley Matrix has had several flubs like that (see 2012 ND over 2012 Alabama). It must place more value on the season as a whole than individual games.

I thought Nick Saban was an ass for saying if you respect the system, despite the imperfections, you wouldn't complain about it. Well Nicky, the system has us in the books. What now?

I believe Colley is the only mathematical ranking that makes it's formula public. So, he isn't trying to hide anything. Using mathematical formulas it's not too hard to understand how this could be possible. Maybe Bama's SOS ( as measured by Colley) was significantly harder overall than Clemson.

Yeah, I'd like to dig into the math. I think a lot of the math rankings have a unintended bias towards teams that play more games.

Which will make it hard for G5s to be #1 in any other rankings, because the playoff gives the winner an extra game, against a highly ranked team.

This was extra visible this year since UCF played 1 fewer game than most, because of the hurricane.

I can't help but think about how much NBC would be pumping up UCF's as a 2017 CO NATIONAL CHAMPION of they had a tier1 with us for this season.

Damn this feels good. Seeing UCFs name under national champions in the official record book.. just awesome. Vindication.

Yet ESPN still refuses to acknowledge UCF. The pre-game show before the UCF vs UCONN game..they all laughed again at the notion UCF are National Champs and that Milton should be in the running for the Heisman. God I hate ESPN. I really hate paying to watch their games. 01-wingedeagle

CBS is even worse. At least a couple of ESPN guys semi-support us.
