We will move it over to the one I started and incorporate how we are scoring the contest beginning week 2. Week 0 is a freebie and Week one is one correct pick equals one point.

I changed my post in the thread, is that okay? If you want me to make a new post I can. Post is here (if the link works correctly) https://csnbbs.com/thread-856030-post-15...id15448047

Nope, I gotcha. UTEP over N. Ariz, Everything else the same, Good to go!

So straight Vegas? If ODU vs Clemson (-10) and ODU loses 35-31 you get two points? I'm cool with that too.

Keep the suggestions coming and we'll decide on Wednesday.

Could make it your game of the week, too. Can't be Marshall each week though 04-cheers

Trust me, I won't do that. lol!!!! I'm as about a straight shooter as they come. I'll give everyone their time in the light if the game is good . And again, I'm open to suggestions as well. I want this to be fun for everyone.

If doing points, why not a) earn double points on picking YOUR teams game correctly and/or b) pick another game you want to count double.

Now I'm thinking each week I will pick a game of the week for double points (2 instead of 1) and a 3 point bonus for the spread beginning week 2. (So if LaTech is -7 vs Bunghole State and LaTech wins 20-7, and you had LaTech, you'd get 5 points... if LaTech wins 21-20, you'd get 2 points. If you pick a team to lose, you get the spread bonus, but not the extra two for the win).

Is that kinda what you guys are thinking?

(See this is why I put that twist out there...to see what people want to do to make this a really cool and fun pick 'em.) And if we end up leaving it like it was last year, I'm okay with that. We have until Wednesday night to finalize everything and get everyone's input.

Sounds good... Game of the week (double points straight up) plus three for picking it right against the spread.

That said make sure we reserve the right to take LaTech straight up (but ATS take Bunghole & the points if we think it’ll be close!) That will happen anyway since most peeps pick the exact score.
And besides, Bunghole always gets up for a CUSA game. It’s like their Super Bowl.

I see no reason to make changes. I thought it ran well last season. If you wanted to give a pass for the 0 week, that's fine, but rather things stay as they were.

I like the "game of the week" idea. Not so much the "spread" one.

But whatever you all want to do.

Keep it simple I say...

So is the game of the week and spread all in the same? I don't mind double points game of the week, but spread idea not so hot on. If you want to do a pickem on who covers spreads of each game that is fine and a lot of work but might want to keep that as a separate pool from just picking winners....That said I am fine with a game of the week and you get an extra point if you pick correct.

It seems that most like the game of the week so how about this: The game of the week is worth TWO points instead of 1. The spread makes no difference (maybe we'll do that for the bowl pick 'em). Everything else stays the same as it always has.
If everyone is okay with that, then that's how we'll do it this year.
