FAU, FIU, North Texas, UAB, Southern Miss, Marshall could all beat Liberty by decent margins. La Tech, Midd Tenn could win as well. Charlotte , ODU, Rice and UTEP are probably the four teams liberty could beat right now. Rice im not even sure about because they were able to put 27 points against Houston.

I honestly believed this going into this game. I knew they had a good QB and WR, but I thought they would get abused on the lines, particularly their DL. I knew they grabbed a bunch of JUCOs, but that seems to never work. However, I can tell you that they will have a good offense this year. That QB is an incredible college QB and there aren't many G5 WRs better than AGG. What helps is they have a slot WR that is very quick as well and you can only pay so much attention to AGG. Their running game did way better than I expected and I'm not sure what to expect from it going forward.

The defense was better than I thought. They have a very good linebacker that is the brother of Jay Ajaje (however you spell). Our WRs regularly beat their secondary though.

Apparently not often enough. 07-coffee3

Oh no, they were open. If they had been ten feet tall they might have been able to catch some of the balls thrown in their general direction.

I confess, I haven’t drilled down on ODU’s roster this year because you guys aren’t on LA Tech’s schedule, and frankly nobody has ODU picked to finish in the top half of CUSA. But I know ODU fans were real excited last year about a freshman QB (Williams?) who held a lot of promise. What happened to him.

Nothing happened to him. He's fine. It is our inability to recruit 9 foot tall wideouts. It's quite frustrating.

ODU vs Liberty

I hate that we have them on the schedule, never want to be in a conference with them.

All of this is ignorant and unfactual. Liberty is accredited by SACCS which is the same as Duke, UVA, etc. nice try though.

I agree with you. I guess this is what it has come to now. If someone (in this case, Liberty) beats your azz fair and square on the field, it’s now a best practice to respond by lobbing nasty lies and innuendos about the winning schools academics, their religion, their politics and anything else the loser (and others) can think of. It’s sad that we have so many intolerant bigots in the world.

RE: ODU vs Liberty
A thread started by ODU got moved to the Liberty forum because the butt hurt is strong with the mods over our win. I don't see how this thread doesn't belong over in the CUSA section. We played them and won. Not a random topic. I think some ODU people need to learn how to lose gracefully.
