A nasty side effect of ESPN owning your media rights
... they have a stake in the product. I've been watching Goal Line for what little they broadcast it these days and they've overtly and brazenly crapped all over the head coach at Texas. Multiple times. Practically every time they go to a Top 25 score recap. I can sniff them thirsty to lower the boom on Meeeeeeeechigan as well if ND blows them out of the water.

They came up with a new nickname for an FCS school. JaM U.
That is now what the ESPN announcers calling them in their game against NC State today.

Don't you think Texas deserves to get crapped on? The Board here conveniently forgets that they've been bad for the last 9 years after a magical 2000-2009. Plus maybe some broadcasters don't love the fact that Herman knew about the wifebeating and didn't do anything about it.

I've never tuned in Goal Line but with so much content between ABC, ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, ESPN News, ESPN+, ESPN3 I really don't understand why they are apparently not putting out a better product.

Crapping on a perennially overrated Texas team is probably the most accurate and unbiased thing ESPN has done.

Texas deserves the **** talking right now. The most underperforming program in history continues its usual work.

Agreed. They have brought it on themselves. Do you think a university can have an ego; well they do.

It raises bigger questions when schools are public institutions.

I don’t know why states allow these schools to operate in the ways they do. I mean, I get these places don’t have the same “quality” as the federal level, but these schools need to be reeled in. Tough to do when folks so strangely align with these stupid schools they went to for a few years for like the rest of their lives, and think that anything different means higher funding needs and tuition...it’s all BS.

You can be butthurt about sucking all you want.

College football is still laughing at Texas now and for being the worst underachiever of a program ever. I guess congratulations for your consistent mediocrity are in order.
