Memphis doesn’t suck - did what they were supposed to do - stay tuned for when they play a team with a heartbeat.

Houston doesn’t suck- broke the seal on their new offense against a rival - stay tuned to see if Westhoff has another three quarter meltdown about Applewhite.

USF doesn’t suck - did mostly what they are supposed to do - stay tuned for the same reason as Memphis.

Tulsa kinda sucks- struggled a little bit, but overcame - stay tuned to see if they can improve.

Navy kinda sucks - Hawai’i looks legit, on the road in paradise, they had played a game already - stay tuned to see if they can find a defense.

Tulane kinda sucks - what the hell happened to your offense - stay tuned to see if you all can find it.

SMU sucks - got butt smacked by UNT - stay tuned to see if Dykes makes it past two years.

UConn sucks - offense is good if you don’t shoot yourself in the foot, defense is young - stay tuned to see Edsall develop this team.

Temple sucks big ones - lost to your FCS rival and embarrassed the conference - stay tuned to see if Frankie Juice got squeezed!

ECU sucks big ones - lost to FCS program - stay tuned to see if ECU embarrasses the conference all season.

UConn doesn't suck yet for losing to the defending champs...

Rice had a game under their belt, they worked out some kinks. Houston pulled away and won by 3 scores. Doesn't suck.

Pesik is wrong about Mercer being a bad FCS team. They aren't world beaters but they aren't BAD 5-6 overall with 3 losses being @Auburn, @Alabama and @Georgia Tech so 5-3 against FCS opponents. Memphis was up 56-0 in the 1st half. Doesn't suck.

It's week 1. Teams are expected to struggle or be a little off. Especially against teams who have already played a game.

We'll see who sucks after like week 3 or 4.

And yes, the bayou bucket 2nd place Team does suck .. looks like your criteria here is W’s or L’s.

I didn’t see the Tulsa game. But while I like Applewhite I can see where the uneasiness was coming from. Cougars struggled A LOT vs a team that one metric had as DFL in FBS going in.

Seriously though my only quibble with your post is your saying that Tulsa kinda sucks.

Have a good season and will be rooting for UH in conference play.

looks like your criteria here is W’s or L’s.

Isn’t that the primary criteria for everyone? Who is 1-0 and who is 0-1, then sort them out that way. Struggling with an FCS team for three quarters at home vs struggling with an FBS team for two quarters away should tell you something about those teams’ capabilities.

Lastly, I put Houston fourth, which should show I have at least some objectivity.

This is how I see as well except I would move Cincy on top given they beat a well known opponent on the road. Otherwise some teams took care of business and one - temple was an unfortunate mark on that team and the conference.
