He always seemed like an *******, but maybe that's what we need.

Was he a Hart hire at Tennessee? I wonder how their relationship is.

He wouldn't be a bad one, wins everywhere he goes. And wins with less which is what we need.

I am a REALLY big fan of Blackwell the more I see and hear from him. His D laid an egg last week sure but we weren't going from s%@% to sugar in 12 months without some hiccups. I think the man has the resume and is just what ECU needs to take our 80th ranked recruiting classes and get the most out of them.

Spoiler alert: Not going back to ECU.

He's played around with pro ball of and on.... NFLE, the SF 49rs, and I feel I am missing a few....

Tampa Bay.

ECU needs a true autopsy. There needs to be a massive interruption in that program. There has been no progress since last year.

he took CMU to an 11 win season, then took Cincy to a 10 win season, and then took Tennessee to back-to-back 9 win seasons.

he may be an a** but after a season learning from Saban he should be ready for someone to take a chance on him.

Love Blackwell. Keep him on staff but we need someone who has been a Head Coach. No more assistants with no experience as HC

Massey Composite Ranking in ()

Houston (51)
UCF (16)
Memphis (69)
@ Tulane (88)
UConn (123)
@Cincinnati (30)
@NC State (15)

Tulane would be a possibility if we were at home, but on the road?

I think we're staring at a 1-6 finish here.

Depends. If the team that played USF on September 22nd shows up, I think we have a chance against Memphis, Tulane, and UConn and maybe we get lucky in one of the other 4 games.

If the team that played Temple shows up, we go 1-6 or 0-7.

You mean the one that coaches had 2 weeks to gameplan for and the offense still only found the endzone once?

ECU has the talent to win nearly every game left but may lose them all. Temple was the only complete meltdown. In every game this season, except Temple, ECU has statistically dominated on stats like total offense, first downs, third down conversions and time of possession, and it isn't even close.

And yet they still figure out ways to lose. Call it bad Mojo.

We should be 4-1 right now. With just a decent QB we win NCAT easy and probably beat USF.

Scott Satterfield's new contract with App State contains low buyout

https://www.journalnow.com/sports/asu/sc...94c87.html

ECU could give him a good pay raise and word on the street is he wants to stay in the region. However, UNC may get to him before we can.

There is no chance he'd go to ECU. I don't think he'd go to any AAC school.

No, there's certainly no precedent for coaches using recent success to jump into better conferences.

Scott Frost: "He's got a point, you know"
Justin Fuente: "Yep, he's right"
Tom Herman: "What he said"
Matt Rhule: "So Baylor is pretty terrible"

Also, this guy....assuming he hasn't changed his winning ways. He's currently coaching for some developmental league. I think he can be had, hookers, recruiting violations and all.

He doesn't need to go to the AAC to get a P5 job. Not one of your examples jumped twice.
