It's pathetic our entire conference ranks in the bottom 50 of College Football and that 5 of our teams are ranked, not just slightly, but WELL outside of FBS!!

Sagarin ratings are relatively meaningless until they are well connected and lose last year’s bias. Having said that, this league’s ratings the past two years have been pretty miserable and the Week 1 results will do nothing to better the situation.

Totally agree, you can't the bed against the sisters of the poor, or let your foot off the gas and escape against teams you should beat by two or three TD's and expect the Poll pundit's to not take notice.

In the sagarin in which extra points are given not for being a good team but what conference you are in. We could all go undefeated out of conference and our ratings in that poll would barely rise.

Sagarin depends who your team plays against. If FAU would have lost by 7 or 3 against to OU they would have risen significantly it has happen to Tech before, loses to Arkansas, South Carolina and Kansas State by 1 or 3.

A decent lost is worth more than expected win

Sun Belt is receiving votes in both.

How useful is Sagarin? App State beat Toledo to end last season by a score of 34-0. They lost to Penn State in OT in a situation where they likely win without the kick return on Penn State's final drive. Toledo is still ranked higher, according to Sagarin, than App.

Sagarin was .534 ATS and consistently beats Massey, .49 ATS

When was the last time CUSA had a team ranked T25 in all major polls DURING the season (not at season's end)?

We've got to pull more newbies up. Conference wins do nothing for us. Have to win the winnable OOC games. This is why I favor dropping back to 6 conference games.

I believe Western Kentucky was ranked and maybe Marshall in 2014 before they lost to WKU.

Marshall has probably the best shot playing South Carolina and NC State both winnable games IMO.

FAU maybe if they beat UCF and run the table, but the OU blowout really hurt their chances

If UNT beats Arkansas and runs the table, maybe at the end of the year. If they don't beat Arkansas no chance, because their schedule is so weak

Am I reading this right? PSU dropped form 10 to 13 int he AP, but App State isn't receiving any votes? Apparently that was just a bad game by Pedophile State. Meanwhile, FSU gets blown out by this week's #12 and they are still receiving 8 votes? Coaches Poll at least shows a little love for App State, but FSU still has many more votes (even though they have VT well below PSU). If it takes a Top Ten team OT to beat you on THEIR turf, you should be in the Top 25 even after the loss. It looks like App State wasn't going to get ranked even if they won :/
