RE: Coaches Poll Week 2
[Sarcasm]If Penn State is still #10 then why isn’t Appalachian State ranked? Surely they’re more deserving than Miami of being in the top 25. [\Sarcasm]

Would Appalachian State even be ranked if they had beaten PSU? Or would they just be receiving votes?

If they would be ranked, where would they be ranked? Where would they have ranked PSU? We all know App wouldn’t get ranked too highly, if at all, and that would mean Penn State comes out of the poll completely. You can’t rank App too high because of “the patch on their jersey.” You also can’t rank PSU over App with a loss to the Mountaineers head to head. Such is life as a G5.
