In a few short years, the Fighting Hurons rise from the worst program in FBS to back-to-back B1G scalps and the first ever MAC program to wave the Jolly Roger banner.

Chris Creighton might be the right man for the Kansas job. Coached at a NAIA in Kansas, was head coach at Drake in Des Moines and turned around the worst FBS job in the country.

I've been a Chris Creighton fan from his Drake days. Wow! What a great victory.

I feel like they've really missed an opportunity by not naming their teams the Emus.

Actually, back-to-back-to-back B1G scalps. 3 years in a row.

That, of course, counts Rutgers as a "B1G scalp."

So let's split the difference. 2 1/2!

My father in law, a Mich St grad, spent several years believing they were in fact the Emus until I told him last season that they were the Eagles. I still think they should return to being the Hurons.

HC Chris Creighton is a motivator a la Tony Robbins in football cleats.

Can the world stop all the Eastern Michigan jokes now? After decades of 1-11 type seasons, this program has become a Big 10 slayer.

There is a great commercial tie-in just waiting for them:

Rutgers might have at least 3 wins on its schedule this year with ILLINIOS, Liberty, and Indiana on the schedule yet. 07-coffee3

Creighton's going to be hired elsewhere if they get 8W this season.
