AState at Tulsa
Alright you Hurricane people. What on earth happens here?

I admit that I know absolutely nothing about Tulsa. Haven't watched you play once in two or three seasons. Outside of looking at stats, and results this year, I'm not sure of anything. Was playing Texas close a statement in how much better you guys have gotten from last season, or an indictment in what has become of Texas football?

The only thing I know is that from our perspective, this is probably the most critical game in the entire Blake Anderson era. The book on Anderson, and thus our program is that he has no idea how to win games outside of Sun Belt play. Yet, we have an AD that continually talks about how we should be as good as teams from the AAC and MWC, and takes it in turn to schedule as many of those opponents as possible, only for Anderson to get coached circles around in an embarrassing loss.

We've been pretty bad through two games. We beat our FCS sure, and Bama blows out everyone, but the sloppy mistakes that cost us dearly last season are still there, and the coaching staff seems to have no discernible game plan game to game. Fan support is starting to erode. Win this game, and we might ride a wave to a 10-11 win season. Lose, and there will be calls for Anderson's head.

Somehow AState is a 2.5 point favorite, which tells me that Vegas has yet to actually watch us play.

Down to -1, will probably flip to Tulsa soon. Going to be a interesting game, your QB is good.

If the Tulsa we had in the 1st half vs Texas shows up for the whole game Astate wins. If the Tulsa from the 2nd half vs Texas shows up for the whole game we will roll.

It will probably be somewhere in between and be a close game.

RE: AState at Tulsa
Oh, I suspect stAte will find a way to fumble this away like we have many other critical games in the Blake Anderson era. And expect plenty of laundry on the turf. We love to make stupid mistakes for penalties. Please tell your running backs to run directly at our defenders. We can't tackle so I don't want any of your running backs twisting an ankle trying to make unnecessary cuts.

Yeah, I'm one of those fans who's about had it with our coaching staff.

More seriously, we have a lot of raw physical talent. We simply don't know if they'll play well or do the goofy stuff we've seen so often. So like you folks, it depends on which team shows up to play.

The defense appears solid and Tulsa's offense has shown flashes of being good. The special teams have been Shakey and it could be argued cost us the Texas game. Physically we seemed to match some good size and speed on Texas side. Tulsa's sophmore running back (Brooks) is steady as they come and will turn in a 100 yard game.

This is a big game to see where Tulsa actually is. Winning means a good chance of a bowl this season a loss could mean we still have a long ways to go.

If we depend on FG then we lose. We need to try out some more WRs. We need to play a complete game. I expect a close one and am hoping we are smiling at the end.

Similar here. The stats against Alabama actually told us that we matched up better than we thought. We ran for more yards than anyone had on them in over 3 years, and just missed a couple sure TD passes. We couldn't stop them, but that offense is ridiculous.

Hansen has the potential to throw for 600 yards every game. If he and his receivers are on their game, I think we win. If they are off, you guys win going away.

I apologize, but normal football people like to discuss games for the entire week of a game, not just a couple hours before.

UCONN lost to Co-National Champs UCF, 56-17.

Arkansas St lost to Co-National Champs Bama, 57-7.

This tells me UCONN > Arkansas St. You're welcome.

Last team to beat UCF? Arkansas State. What's your point boy? Other than you lost a game badly.

Nope, which is why it's unofficial. Not sure why you don't understand.

Well, you seemed interested enough that you tried to play a mythical score comparison game that has nothing to do with anything, so I thought I'd play along.

Three posts to get rid of critter though is pretty impressive work though. I do give you credit for that.

Not sure why you're arguing.
