Sure, but those jobs don't do the trick for hipsters w/ $100,000 student debt and a masters in philosophy with a minor in the reproductive habits of butterflies.

And therein lies the whole campaign for the mid terms. The Republicans can run on job growth and deficit reductions both of which are tied to the trade policies. And the Democrats will run on a platform stating that your free stuff won't be as available because the Republicans expect you to get a job.
So the Republican party is shaping up to be the party of the working class again like it was under Reagan and the Democrats only have racial division, gender division, and socialism to run on to energize their base which is almost wholly built on the premise that everyone else who works owes those who are marginalized only in their minds that they are due free stuff courtesy of those who work.

My youngest son, 24 years old, who was a Bernie Sanders fan. Hey like most 22 year olds, he likes the ideal of free stuff and doesn't understand, nothing is actually free and as someone who's worked since the age of 15, he would be helping pay for the free stuff.
Well anyways, today President Trump, just picked up another vote, my guess, another 100 (out of 150 hired) because Alcoa is restarting three idled lines with a starting pay of $26.50, matching 401k up to 6%, insurance $45 a month, add in his new born baby (last night) and it goes to $60 a month. Along with a ton of other perks...$41.50 an hour if he's there a year.
This is a kid that worked hard since the age of 15 and I taught him trades, since I've been in that since I was 15 and self employed since the middle of my Sr year of high school. So unlike my oldest son who must repay college debt (teacher 3 years). My 24 year old has no debt to repay and a better paying job.
This is the 2nd company (US Steel the other) to reopen closed down lines with in 35 miles of Owensboro KY. Not only that but I just read that my hometown of Bowling Green Ky is at a all-time high in jobs and still growing. I bet its that way across most of middle American cities

Wkyg, I would suggest that you advice your teacher son to go work where your 24 year old is working NOW and when he retires from THAT job to jump into teaching. I've known many teachers that jump into the field AFTER finishing a first occupation. It would benefit your older son to do that.
